cannot delete photos from a camera roll

I made an error by downloading some personal photos to my iphone. It set up a camera role much to my surprise. When I click on each photo on the roll, there is no trash can for deletion. How can I delete this camera roll album from my iphone?

did you just do it by using itunes? Because you can probably do it form there, otherwise you have a bigger issue which is no delete option on your phone. Is it hacked?

Thanks for reply. It was an itune sync error. I do not believe it is a hack.
