Cannot get the Apple webpage with El Capitan

I have El Capitan and cannot upgrade software. Just went to Apple store website and all I get is a column on the left listing all
the items on their website with short captions. Is this because they upgraded to Ventura? Will Apple correct this?

Apple's website is currently experiencing issues for many users around the world, although parts of the website are still functional.

Update 10:00 p.m.: Apple's website appears to be operating normally once again after being largely nonfunctional for approximately two hours.
