Have printer (an HP P1006) which has been working fine. Printer jobs got stuck, wouldnt work, and best advice was to uninstall and reinstall printer. When I tried to reinstall, my 5 yr old iMAC couldnt (wouldnt) recognize my printer. After 4 hours with Apple and HP tech support, conclusion from HP was that upgraded OS (High Sierra) wont accept/recognize drivers for older printers, even one that was working and was just uninstalled. Am told only option is to buy new printer. Apple tech support never raised this possibility. Anyone else agree that whomever designed this forced obsolescence should be jailed?
