Cannot sync hotmail account to mail app

Hi folks,

I'm having a bit of an issue with syncing my hotmail account to the mail app on my 5S, running iOS 9.2. Whenever I try to add my hotmail account to the mail app I get the following message;

'Cannot Get Mail... The username or password for "imap-mail.outlook.com" is incorrect.'

Despite what it says above, I know that both the username and password I enter are definitely correct. I'm no wiz with phones, so any help on the matter would be much appreciated.
