I have recently made a clean install of OS X 10.9
I am developing a website on my mac and want to be able to test it in other devices.
I check the IP with ifconfig and below en1 I have 192.168.1.33
I can ping the IP from other devices connected to the wifi network. I enabled Remote login and I can even login via ssh.

However, when typing the IP on other devices browsers (windows, android, ipad) and the port number my site is running, I can't access it.

Any help appreciated.

P.S.> Google indexing is insanely fast! Just after posting this I continued to google the issue and the first result was this very thread... nothing to do with my problem but wanted to share that

Resolved it by starting my server on 0.0.0.0:8000 rather than on localhost (127.0.0.1:8000)
