I just upgraded to iPadOS today and while playing around with it I found that I can't slide to hide the side bar apps. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

if you click the status bar icon for sidebar there are options to hide sidebar and Touch Bar. Is that what you are talking about?

To slide and hide them, you can't use the little line at the top anymore, instead you simply flick the app out of the screen by dragging it from the middle-outer/ exterior part of app.

As @theodorr pointed out. You use the middle of the app on the left and swipe to the right.
