Can't install due to lack of disk space but I have 150 GB free

I don't understand how it can say I need another 18 GB of free space when I already have 153 GB free. The more I delete, the higher the number goes too. Earlier it said I needed to clear up 13 GB, I deleted a ton of stuff, and now it says 18 GB... WTF?!

Maybe you have Time Machine local snapshots taking up room?

In Terminal, do:

tmutil listlocalsnapshots /

And see if you have a lot of them..

Looks like there are several. How do I delete them? I don't even have Time Machine enabled anymore.
