I have an iPad Mini 2 that used to able to AirPlay videos from safari to my Apple TV 2 while multitasking running iOS 7.1.2. I upgraded to iOS 8.3 last week and I noticed I can no longer do that as the airplay streaming would end as soon as I press the home button.

I also can't let my iPad go to sleep as it also ends the airplay streaming. I now have to go into settings and turn off auto sleep in order for my videos to stream without interruption.

I used to have this issue with my old iPad 2 a few years back as some iOS updates would have this issue and then some iOS updates fix it.

I dug up this article while googling which gave a pretty good explanation of what is happening:

My old iPad 2 on iOS 7.1.2 can multitask or sleep while streaming without any issues.

Does anyone else experience the same issue? Is there a fix for it?
