iPad mini Can't remove anything from the Home Screens

Updated my iPad mini 5 to iPadOS 15, and since then, I can't remove anything from the homescreen, nor delete apps.

The usual context menus appear, I can also switch to the "jiggling" mode, but tapping the option to delete widgets or apps or tapping the little "x" does nothing.

I have already made sure that no restrictions are set (for what reason ever), and also tried to reset all settings.

Yeah. Same issue. A complete shutdown and restart fixed the problem. Surprised me!

Did a complete shutdown. That took care of that problem.
