For the first time in my iOS life I am getting the “Unable to verify the update” message when installing iOS 13.4 update. Any idea on how to resolve the issue? I already restarted the phone but it didn’t work.

It’s an iPhone 11 Pro Max. In my iPhone X, the update worked fine.

Thanks!

Settings -> General -> Storage and look for the update in that list. I would reboot the phone after deleting before downloading again.

Delete the download and start over. It will work the next time.

I could resolve it thanks to both teeshot44 and JupoDupo. I didn't even know a iOS download could be deleted.

Thanks for your help!

I have the same problem trying to update to 13.4.1 (latest the phone and mac point to when they say an update is available). I am on 13.3.1 right now. Unfortunately deleting the update, resets, recovery mode etc, don't help. I also get a similar verification error when trying to update via Mac with Catalina.

If you're trying to update to 13.4, rather than 13.4.1, it's going to fail because Apple is not signing 13.4 any more.

Sorry, I didn't specify, I am trying to update to the latest 13.4.1 (whatever the phone or mac are suggesting when they say an update is available). I am on 13.3.1 right now.

It's a long shot, but wondering if we are getting an iOS update today - Wait until after the top of the hour and try it again...

Edit - looks like nothing on the update front today, so likely another issue you are experiencing.
