iPhone 6(S)/Plus CarPlay: Pandora starts by itself

I see other people have this problem but I’ve yet to see a fix.

Starting the car Pandora starts up on its own. Once I stop it and start play another app (podcasts or whatever) it’s fine until another app gets triggered (like Message).

Once another app comes online Pandora fires up again and overrides whatever I’m playing. I can’t find a setting on the phone to stop this and my car head unit has no setting for this.

Running an IPhone 6 with the latest version available. Help!

It seems like third-party apps are very buggy on CarPlay.

I have my own CarPlay+Pandora issues, but kind of the opposite.

About 80% of the time, Pandora will not play on CarPlay unless I unlock my iPhone and open the Pandora app on the iPhone. As soon as I touch the Pandora icon, it starts playing.

It is quite annoying, especially since CarPlay is suppose to be hands free.

While third-party apps have always had issues on CarPlay in my experience, this particular bug didn't start until iOS 13.
