What's happening all...

My question is, do you lose any carrier locked options/features by buying a device straight from Apple as opposed to buying from the Carrier? HD voice calling and DIGITS for example.

This would obviously be going on the T-Mobile network.

Reason I ask was because a few years back, I brought a Google Pixel to AT&T with an LG Watch Sport and they said that because it was purchased direct from Google, I couldn't use the HD Voice feature which would, thusly, affect AT&T Number Sync for the watch. Does this hold true for Apple devices as well?

Thanks in advance.

I remember iPhones USED to have this problem, because of the different models, but I think AT&T certified all models for VoLTE and WiFi Calling sold in the US now regardless of the carrier association but I could be wrong.

No, Apple unlocked is now exactly the same. And only unlocked phones can use SIM/eSIM from a different carrier.
