Hi world,

This is doing my head in. I have a 2TB in my Mac Pro late 2013, running Catalina. I apparently only have 150GB when my user folder is 177GB. I have used Disk Inventory X to go through and find large files.

I have run cleanmymac X and onyx multiple times.

Any idea's as to why I have 1.67TB used under the "other" in storage. The only thing stopping me from downgrading to Mojave is the photos library can't be downgraded.

The OS has to scan all folders and files and needs some time. During that period a large part of the bar is grey and labelled "Other". Just let the dialog open for a minute or two.

I found out what it was, Daisy Disk found a bucket load of snapshots created by Carbon Copy Cloner. Just deleted these now back to normal :)
