Hi I just got a 12 inch and I am wondering how to burn a data CD.
I'm trying to put some music videos, mp3s, and stuff on 1 CD.

also... I just got this thing yesterday, why do I only have 18 GBs left?

thank you for your help.

Pop in a blank CD, when asked tell it to open in finder, drag whatever files you want to burn over to the mounted CD-R, when finished, choose File -> Burn Disc...

Harddrives tend to fill up much faster than anticipated... :p

I guess this is why I hated Apple... it's too easy... hehe.
Thanks.

I didn't download much stuff... it's pretty much right of the shelf.
I guess I'll figure it out in time, lol.

What size disk did you get, and what software did you load already? And how much data did you copy on?

Expect the default software on the current powerbooks to use somewhere between 12 and 18 GB of space. GarageBand and iDVD use 5GB combined, so that's a nice chunk of space right there.
