Usually when you drag a folder away from the sidebar, there's a tiny white dust/cloud appears and if you let go the folder will be removed from the sidebar, my problem is (and I couldn't get similar problem solution on google), the white dust/cloud does not appear and I cannot remove a folder from sidebar since. Does anyone run in to this problem? Appreciate your time to help! :)

That works! Thank you! But do you know any reason make it changed to "command" + drag? It was automatic before, is it because of an update patch?

I have the same issue. Seems it was introduced in 10.6.7 as I could just drag in 10.6.6 and from 10.2 onwards.
