I know this sounds a bit weird, but I need to find something that can charge up to four usb powered devices at once. I'm thinking of using 2 iPhones and 2 iPod Touches for a project I'm working on. I'd like for them all to be charging at once and for convenience's sake, I'd like to do it from one source and without connecting to a computer. Could I buy a powered USB hub and use that to charge the devices without connecting the it to a computer? It would be powered by a 9V adapter (hence, powered). I have a Belkin one I tried this with to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm going to bump this thread because I'm looking for the same thing. I need to charge SEVERAL iPods at the same time, without a connection to a computer. I've got a powered USB hub, but it won't charge them unless a computer is connected -- not sure why this is.

Does anyone know of another way? Why must a computer be connected?
