Unfortunately, I think you likely don't have a choice in the matter. You won't be able to resist the notion that an apparently-lifeless computer program will create an essay, better and faster than you ever could, and, of course, your objections then won't make a difference. 'Tis a machine without a heart, let loose on an unsuspecting world.

How can I use chatgpt to do this? I’ve no idea what to do and where to find it, I’ve only heard it does wonders!

If you are supposed to be writing an essay for a school assignment, it is not a good idea to use any sort of AI program; your instructor will very quickly be able to recognize the difference, especially if he or she is familiar with your usual writing style. Do you really want to take the chance that you will be nailed as a cheater and receive a failing grade not just for the essay but for the entire course?
