Hi,

One out of 4 client machines refuses to conform to the settings in managed preferences. The machine displays it's name on the login screen (rather than 'Network Accounts Available') which is what it is set to on the server.

I have tried deleting the 'Managed Preferences' folder on the client but that makes no difference.

I guess somewhere there is a cached file which is overriding the settings on the server?

Anyone have an idea of what to do?

Thanks

Andy

I assume you have tried reconfiguring the OD Server in /Applications/Utilities/Directory Utility on the Leopard Client?
Or does it get its LDAP info from DHCP...?

Personally, I prefer to manually choose the "Advanced Settings", then select the "Services" tab, and then double-click LDAPv3.
