Collaborate option in Messages - way to disable?

Now in Messages if you try to send someone an image or video file, it will first show the file as a small little controller that asks if you want to "Send Copy" or "Collaborate" with the person you're sending it to. It seems to default to "Send Copy" for images and "Collaborate" on videos, but I find it really really annoying. Does anyone know of a way to just disable this feature completely?
