I download tons of music from IMSLP, but like to combine the individual .pdf files, of a common work, in to one larger file. For example, the nine small preludes by Bach (BWV 924-931; the ninth was never finished). Normally, you open the first .pdf file, select thumbnail view (which lists the thumbnails on the left side), then simply drag the icon for another .pdf file into below the thumbnail of the first file. Once that is done, you can rearrange the thumbnails in your desired order.

I tried that with both my late-2013 iMac 27" and my mid-2015 rMBP 15" (running the macOS Sierra public beta) and got the same result on both. When I drag the icon of the second .pdf file to the Preview window, Preview crashes. I have been unsuccessful in combining .pdf file with macOS Sierra. Has anyone else tried this with a different methodology and achieved success?
