Confused after updating Perl and Ruby via installer.app

I just installed the updates to Perl and Ruby and also installed PHP via AppTapp, and after they were finished installing, a message popped up telling me to copy something to $PATH or something like that...huh?

[EDIT] The message is "Please add /opt/iphone/bin/ to your $PATH". [/EDIT]

Essentially, they're programming languages. You need them installed to run apps that are written with Perl and Ruby.
