MP All Models Connect Apple Cinema Display 23" A1082 to Mac Pro early 2013

Hello everyone, I'm having some trouble connecting my old Apple Cinema Display monitor to the Mac Pro early 2013. I'm attaching photos of the connection, and I kindly ask if anyone can tell me if I've done something wrong. I'm not very experienced, so perhaps I made a mistake or I'm missing some kind of adapter. The monitor is powered on, but I'm not seeing anything. I made the connection using this adapter:

You probably need to connect power using the micro usb cable... see the power port next to the HDMI port?

Thank you very much for the response, but I don't see any micro usb port near the HDMI port (I am attaching a photo)... Maybe I should try connecting it to the Thunderbolt port? But in that case, what adapter should I use? Do I just need a DVI to Thunderbolt adapter, or are there other adapters required? Honestly, I'm not sure if it's possible to connect this 23" cinema display to the Mac Pro early 2013. I haven't found any online tutorials.

What @Bigwaff was referring to is, you should try powering the adapter - see attachment.
I can't imagine it requiring more than 1A @5V so any USB phone charger should suffice.

I have no personal experience with said Cinema Display but it should work with any generic adapter according to the tech specs:

(Windows) PC with DVI ports that support full single link digital bandwidth.

If it still fails to work, perhaps you still find Apple's Mini DisplayPort-to-DVI-Adapter somewhere.
The first adapter (Single-Link-DVI) should suffice given the display's resolution of 1920x1200:

(Btw, there is only a Mac Pro Late 2013. And it has the prefix "MP 6,1")

Have you tried the Apple's Thunderbolt to DVI adaptor instead of using the HDMI adaptor. Available on eBay and elsewhere. Also connect the spare USB A, lead to your Mac Pro, if you're going to use a wired mouse or thumb drive at the rear of the Cinema Display for example.....I have mine connected this way and works a treat.

Of course Apple adaptor will work beautifully.
I just wouldn't want to pay premium for it.
