I want to connect my MacBook Air M2 to my work laptop located in office via Microsoft Remote Desktop from home.
Problem is that the work network is on a private network.
Is it still possible to connect remotely via the internet ?

It'll depend on how your employer's network is configured. If they have "RD Gateway" then you can configure that inside the Remote Desktop client and it'll let you straight through (it's essentially a VPN that connects itself automatically).

Without RD Gateway you'll need another way of connecting to the network, such as a traditional VPN or some sort of app. Again, it's going to depend on how IT has configured things.

Use Tailscale to connect them on the same private subdomain. Then use the IP address assigned through Tailscale to connect the RDP.
