I have a set ups with a iMac Pro and I bough a LG 5K display to use as a secondary monitor so that I can stand during work. I could not install a standing desk into my office but I have now a wall holder for a monitor and for the keyboard. I intend to mirror displays, take the wireless keyboard and track pad, move over and continue working standing.

Issue is the length of the USB-C / thunderbolt cable. Anyone has a good idea how to connect? I need at least 3 m to go right across (have to plug in and out then each time) or better 8 or so m to keep cable in place.

Doable?

Copper Thunderbolt cables are limited to two meters (active or passive) so you will need optical cables for 5m/10m or longer. That being said, not sure if TB3 optical cables have been released as of yet (I have only seen TB2 optical).
