Connection with Samsung t7

I am working on an iPad pro 11' against two Samsung t7s. Sometimes they show up and work well, sometimes they do not show up. I have failed to investigate what causes this, and under what circumstances they do or don't show up. It makes no difference whether I connect via USB hub or direct. Have tried several cables, all sorts, including the ones that came with the t7s. When they infact do connect, then they stay connected and I can do external video editing with no problems, and no loss of connection. Then, some time later I get back to the setup and the connection is down.
Would be very grateful for enlightment.

Which version of iPadOS? Which file system format do you use on this T7s? After loosing the connection does the T7 reconnect after a restart of the iPad? Or after disconnecting/reconnecting the cable? Which iPP 11” model? Is the connection lost in Files/FileBrowser/etc. and/or in Luma/daVinci/etc.?
