I am trying to migrate my photos from Aperture into Photos, but somehow I have ended up with a bunch of referenced files, likely from a while back when I tried the first time. Anyways, those photos won't upload to iCloud, and I want to consolidate them. I created a smart folder with all reference files, selected them all, and then selected "consolidate", but it doesn't do anything. There are some files without a master (~400 out of ~6000 files), and that seems to be an issue for photos. I thought of exporting the originals, but it won't let me, because of the files with missing masters. Does anyone have any ideas, or know how to select only the files that have valid masters? I also tried using automator, but it fails without any error message.
