Resolved Contacts: add reminder to an iCloud contact

Is there anyway one can add a reminder to an iCloud contact (for example, for someone's birthday).

From a quick search, the answer seems to be no... but someone might have an idea?

if you add the birthdate in Contacts - "Apple Calendar" it will show up in the Calendar and then you can schedule a reminder before the date. It also links directly back to the contact info in Contacts.
