Is there any way to control an iPhone remotely? The phone is in my family group.

No, except for webcam apps. With those apps & two iPhones you can trigger one iPhone camera with the other iPhone. You can also see what the other camera sees but with a lot of latency and low res preview

There's Veency, but you need to be jailbroken and on iOS 10 or below.

There may be other jailbreak tweaks for iOS 11 and above but I haven't been paying much attention the last couple of years.

So, stock, there is no way. Jailbroken, maybe.
