Cooling a Powermac?

I have a powermac G5 Dual 2.0Ghz which i bought about 18 months ago. One big problem is it is getting too hot, my widget says it is running at 60 degrees and it is making my room soo... hot in this hot weather we are having in UK.

It has been so bad i have had to turn it off and use my old powerbook.

Any ideas how too cool it down apart from buying air con.

I have it sat on a table next to an outside wall, out of sunlight but near open window.

60 is fine.

You can put a fan in front of it, but that will only help a little.

Also make sure there is plenty room in front and back of the machine.

would putting it on the floor help?

I might try it

i dont mind it running at 60 degrees but it makes my room so hot i can be in there when the computer is on. I have had it turned off for a few days and it has been much better.

Believe me, I feel your pain.

I have a PM on the desk, a monitor that is a heat radiator and a laptop working all the time in a room that has no AC vents. Just make sure you have lots of airspace around the PM; they like to breathe.
