iPod Copy folders of selected music to ipod

I have 5th generation ipod and I want to copy about five music folders (each folder containing about 20 songs of a specific singer) to the ipod. This will help me to play the songs of a specific singer whenever I want to. But for the life of me I have not been able to transfer in a manner by which I can see individual folders in both the itunes and in my ipod. Kindly show me a method by which I can do so.
