I bought my mbp about two months ago. Last month, I noticed a black line forming beneath the touchpad. It runs the length of the touchpad, maybe a little longer, and looks like a heavy pencil line. It seems to be a deposit of black dust made by friction when two parts of the case rub together. Apparently the bottom of the bezel below the iSight is rubbing against the display case when closed, as there is sometimes a corresponding line of black dust there. I can clean some of the dust away, but there is now permanent black line right below the touchpad.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything that will clean it off? Windex only lightens the line, it doesn't take it off completely.

I carry my mbp in a laptop bag inside my messenger bag when I ride my bike, and I'm thinking that this may be caused by the case flexing against my back- possible?
