CostX is designed to facilitate the decomposition of projects and products into smaller and more manageable components, and automatically summarize them from branch to trunk. It is mainly used for Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and Product Breakdown Structure (PBS).

CostX for macOS is available as a public beta version​

CostX for macOS is available as a public beta. You can test it via the Apple TestFlight service. As always, our beta version has good quality.

ChatGPT-Assistant Bulk Node Creation​

We are also proud to introduce the ChatGPT-Assistant bulk node creation feature. This feature leverages the power of AI language models to assist users in creating detailed project structures. By chatting with ChatGPT, users can propose content for the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), and Product Breakdown Structure (PBS) in construction projects.

To help you better understand this powerful feature, we have created a demo video that showcases its capabilities. In the demo, we show how users can chat with ChatGPT using pre-defined prompts based on user-created templates for the WBS. ChatGPT then outputs the WBS in plain text, which can be reviewed and modified if needed. Users can also ask ChatGPT to output more outlines to further refine the WBS. With this feature, users can create the entire WBS tree in bulk, saving time and effort.

Nodes are the pieces of information that you use for your estimate, like dimensions, quantities, rates, formulas, and more. Sometimes you have a lot of nodes and you need to find something specific, like a value, a word, or a code. With CostX 2.2, you can tap the “Search” menu and see the search view in a sheet.

A New Way to Manage Your Data​

Do you want to export only a part of your data instead of the whole document? Do you want to focus on specific categories of your spending or income, or share your data with others who are interested in the same categories? If you answered yes, then you will love our new feature: Export by Category!

Export by Category lets you export a subset of your data based on the categories you select. For example, if you want to export only your data related to food, entertainment, and travel, you can do so by choosing these categories from the export menu. This way, you can create a new CostX document that contains only the data you need.

To use this feature, just tap on the export button and choose the categories you want to include in the new document. You can select as many or as few categories as you want. The new document will be ready for you to download, share, or print.

Export by Category helps you manage your data more efficiently and effectively. It helps you:

• Save time and space by exporting only the data you need
• Focus on specific areas of your spending or income and analyze them in more detail
• Share your data with others who are interested in the same categories
• Create customized reports and presentations based on your selected categories
