I don't think it makes any sense. Apple needs a contract manufacturer. Lucid hasn't shown an ability to manufacture cars in volume, which issn' a benefit for Apple. And I think Lucid really wants to be seen as an innovative brand on their own, not a contract manufacturer, which isn't a benefit for Lucid.

Been seeing this go around Twitter... if you look deeper, it can make sense.

I don’t think it makes any sense. Most, if not all, premium car brands want to keep their own branding. I can definitely see Apple working on an in-car mm system, but I don’t see how any of the premium car brands would work as a contract manufacturer for an Apple car

lucid has said they want their powertrains to be in other companies’ cars in the future... it totally makes sense

lucid doesn’t even produce cars yet and nobody knows if they will be able to do it this year.
it’s not looking good in my opinion.
