Crack big enough to take to Apple for repair?

This crack developed in my macbook back by the fans about a month ago. With the Apple store being 2 hrs away, I haven't had an excuse to go out there. Today I'm going to the Titans game in Nashville and can visit the Apple store.. but I need to know if the crack is big enough for them to replace it?

Also, if they do repair it, do you think they can do it in store or send it off?

It does have AppleCare.

Edit: I'm 100% sure I didn't cause it. I baby it.

Seeming as you have Applecare, just give them a ring; they'll let you know whats best to do.

weird... i would drop by. THey might be able to do it in the store but would you would have to wait for the part to come in or it will be shipped out.

I've got to take it into the apple store for a wrist rest staining problem, but I think I ought to mention that crack as well...
