Creating a Font Family

I bought a font family with 41 variations from myfonts.com and downloaded the font in OTF, TTF, and T1 formats. When I install it using FontBook, every single font variation turns up as a font in my fonts list in Photoshop etc. This is obviously a real pain as it makes the font list much longer to scroll through.

Is there a way of installing these fonts as a family so that the variations are in the pull-down where bold, italic etc. are?

Any help gratefully appreciated :)
