Hello all,

I followed the instructions here (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201372) to make a bootable installer for macOS.
I put in the Comands in the Terminal but I get the answer, "The volume could not be found".

Is it possible that the fact I'm trying to create a bootable installer on a partitioned USB3 disk could be the problem?
On one partition I have a TimeMachine backup. On the other I have free space.

The Monterey installer file is in my Applications folder, I can see it. I just downloaded it earlier.

Any clue what is going on?

Thanks.
I tried and got the message saying the volume not eligible for bootable usb mac (or something similar).

I then re-started the Mac and tried again and it worked good.
