Hi,
I have a Powerbook, which means that the cron jobs that are scheduled to run early in the AM (i.e. for backing up netinfo, the locate database, etc.) generally don't get run. I could change the times that "periodic" is run in the cron, I realize, but that seems a bit inelegant and requires that the laptop be on at the appointed time.
I was thinking about writing a script that would check when periodic daily/weekly/monthly were last run, and if overdue would run them. However if such a script already exists, I figure why reinvent the wheel?
So... anyone know if such a script already exists out there? Thanks!
