This works with the current Home app and HomePod Mini's as of April 1, 2023. So one of the things that I think would be fun is a custom doorbell sound. Too bad Apple doesn't agree or can't make it happen with the current products. It's not as ideal as a built in Home function but here it is:
1. Download the Eve app to iPhone or iPad. Can't do this from Mac yet.
2. Create a scene on Eve that uses doorbell press. I named mine doorbell press, go figure. It shows up on Eve not Home.
3. Open Home. Select automation. Select the doorbell. Make the action for the Doorbell Press an audio file that you have previously added to iTunes. I am attaching the one that I like. I have selected all three of my HomePod Mini's.
4. Once this has been completed, it will show up on the Mac Home as well.
