iPhone XS Max Dark circle when using flashlight

im not sure if it’s just how the quad led set up is on here but when I turn on the flashlight on the xs max, the centre portion of light has a dark circle.

I don’t notice it when taking a picture using flash or on video but it’s immediately noticeable when I go to use the flashlight in a dark room that the centre of the light has a dark circle wherever you’re pointing it. Obviously most noticeable if pointed at a wall

Tried it on my both my xs max, no dark circles.

Great... yea my iPhone 6s Plus and 8 plus are fine. When I take a picture or video it shows up evenly but with the flashlight on, you can see it

That doesn’t sound normal, probably should get it exchanged.

Yea I just got it last Monday. So hopefully just a new exchange

Alright well wish me luck! Exchanging it today for a new one. Hopefully just a one off issue, only found one thread on Reddit from last year of someone stating they had this issue so clearly not common lol

Well I showed them the picture and video I took in the mirror to show the led lights out and they agree. Unfortunately because I’m on a corporate plan I have to wait until Tuesday after the long weekend to get it exchanged now lol

Oh well, doesn’t affect my usage of it for the most part and still love the phone

Well I got the brand new replacement today and it still has that darker spot in the center. So clearly I’m just more picky about this than most because there’s no way I got two in a row with this exact symptom so that’s fine.
