Dark mode really shows the menu burn in at the top of the screen. Its worse than the old green CRT monitors..

The dark mode effect on the menu bar in Mojave dark mode is no different that in previous versions of macOS/OSX/Mac OS with "dark menu bar and Dock".

IMO, nothing to see here.

I don't get your thread. Dark mode causes less burn in than normal mode because the pixel colors are darker.

Or do you mean that you see the effects of a previous burn in (from normal mode) much more now when in dark mode?

Either way, I still don't get what your point is.
