If Apple wants to send its new workstations into the stratosphere, they need to have the new Dual Channel 333 DDR RAM. It has a bandwidth up to 5.3GB/sec. It is also known as DDR-II RAM.
Intel based systems are getting it next month. The new ram and chipsets are causing a big stink because for the first time RAMBUS RDRAM, which is party owned by Intel, will be #2 in bandwidth performance. Plus the new DDR-II RAM will be a lot cheaper than RDRAM.
