iPhone X Decisions are hard (IPHONE X IN 2019)

Hey,
i am a photographer and only post on instagram and social media and i was wondering if i can take and edit good landscape photos with the IPHONE X???????? is it worth it to buy in 2019. are there any better phones for the same price used that would be better?

How much are you getting the iPhone X for?
If you’re spending around $609-$700, might as well get at least the XR or 11.
SmartHDR on the XR’s A12 is a leap forward for dynamic range, putting the iPhone X’s A11 at severe disadvantage. The 11’s A13 adds night mode, another leap forward for photography.

I wouldn’t get the X unless you can get it for $500 or less. Even then, I’d rather spend more and get the 11 if I was really into photography.

thx for the reply, the iphone 11 exceeds my budget, i could get an iphone xs 64gb for about 550-650, would a xr's camera be sufficient for landscape photography?

I would get the XR then. The A12 brings in SmartHDR, which makes a leap forward for dynamic range. It’s a much better camera imo than the X.

Or try to stretch your budget to $700 for the 11. The night mode imo is worth it, plus you’ll get an ultra wide lens.

He is getting the XS, not the X!

If your budget is $600 roughly, then the iPhone XR would be great so you should get that. Getting an iPhone X seems pointless. It’s much older.

if this is just for photos for social media, you can get samsung s10 for 490 bucks new on ebay and swappa. which is pretty on par with 11 pro in terms of photo quality and also has quicker night mode. that is if you don't mind going android,

I would say 11 or Android, Xr won't be enough if you earn money with posting on social media. If it's just for fun or as a portfolio - Xr is OK.

He’s talking about the XS not the X (title of the thread is wrong) which is a better phone than the XR in every way except battery... And the X is one generation behind the XR, hardly what I would call “much older”
