Just wondering if deleting the stock maps app, for example, and clicking an address would divert the location request to google maps. Can anyone confirm?

It doesn't appear to work that way. At least not on the first beta.
Mailto links don't seem to work.

Beta software. this is likely not integrated yet, as developers like Google have yet to develop that functionaltiy.

no it tells u to reinstall Mail
Because no mail services support replacing Mail.app because they haven't been able to do it until iOS 10
You're right. It should just crash out to the Apple screen. It's a beta. Not everything is implemented.

Well, maybe. But it's not a good sign that it tells you to reinstall mail.
