Yeh I know that this question has been ask for many times but I still don't get it.

In iCloud website, it clearly advertised this
"..By storing your entire library safely in iCloud, you’ll have more space on your iPhone to take more great shots.."

However, if your deleted photos also got deleted in the cloud, how would Apple really achieve what they said? "Optimising" the photo only works to certain extent if you have tens of thousands photos it would still be a issue.


Apple could have provided a sync delete option but that may be even more confusing for light phone users.
