I'm running 10.15 on my mid-2012 rMBP. After install, I was left with less than 500MB disk space. I deleted several large downloads, and also deleted WoW (48GB), but it seems the OS is not recognizing the free space correctly. DaisyDisk doesn't seem to be working well either. Anyone else in the same boat? Appreciate any help in advance - many thanks. S

The space is likely retained in their snapshots.

There are 2 places now where the snapshots are stored due to the system being separated now.

In terminal list them separately with

tmutil listlocalsnapshots /

tmutil listlocalsnapshots /System/Volumes/Data

If you wish you can then manually delete them with

tmutil deletelocalsnapshots <snapshot_date>

Cheers - I’ll try this later today and report back.
