I accidentally deleted the UNIX executable file titled iconservicesagent in /System/Library/CoreServices. How can I restore this? My mac is very slow now and not displaying a lot of icons. I can't open finder or trash to restore the file.

My computer is a late 2011 13" MacBook Pro, using OS X El Capitan. Can anyone here send me the file or advise me on how to fix this?

You can reinstall the OS from the recovery partition without touching any of your local files.
