Hi,
Using OS X 10.10.1
I am able to change my desktop background easily, but I notice that it isn't a permanent change. When I shut down my Mac at the end of the day and reboot in the am, I have my old pics back. Never happened before. How can I keep my new desktop background choices??
Thx.
Frank

Is the image you used for the desktop wallpaper still in the finder or have you deleted it? Deleting an image causes the desktop wallpaper to revert to default.

They are still in the folder. I reuse the same ones daily.

I have a similar issue but it only doesn't stick when I am using an external monitor either as an extended or the only monitor.

I had that problem until I moved/copied the pic I'm using as the background to the Documents folder. No problem after that.
