Hi everyone,
For the past hours I tried to solve the problem that tvOS 14 completely broke my remote access to all my HomeKit devices (you can easily test this when at home by just disabling WiFi).
For anyone having the same problem, here's the solution (at least for me, hope it helps others as well). Go into the bridge settings in the Home app and see what it says for the Apple TV. In my case it said "Standby". That was the issue. It should say "Connected" as can be seen in this pic ("Verbunden" in German):
Then go into the Apple TV settings (not on the iPhone but on the Apple TV itself) and go to the HomeKit settings. There (at the bottom) disable the Apple TV as the "home hub" and then re-enable it.
I hope this can help anyone who might have the same issue
Best wishes
Chris
