I know things are changing in the EU. 😏

Used to pay with Apple Pay using gestures and confirming with Assistive Touch. Very convenient in the wintertime.

Yesterday, after installing WatchOs 10.4, I couldn’t confirm with Assistive Touch and had to use my 6-digits code to confirm the payment.

How stupid is that? 😤

As far as I know this has nothing to do with the EU and was changed because of safety aspects.

You can still just double click the side button for Apple Pay without entering your code.

And did you check your settings? Could be they changed/added something there.

Double click for Apple Pay is the “old way” where you have to touch your Watch.

Using “gestures” and Assistive Touch is a very convenient way of using Apple Pay without even having to touch your Watch.

There is nothing chanced/added in WatchOs 10.4. According to Apple Support this is the way it now is.
