Anyone have any ideas if it's possible to turn off the X1900 video card without damaging the computer? I'm trying to isolate some sound issues I'm having with my hard drives but the constant whir of the X1900 is getting in my way.

I was thinking there must be an easy to reach power cable that I can disconnect temporarly without causing my computer to "explode" when I start it up? I realize that I'll lose my video signal, but I should still be able to start up the computer momentarly to check the hard drive sound levels. Right?

I have this one drive that might be making an excessive whirring sound but I can't hear it over the video card. If it's louder than my other drives, I'm concerned that it might have a defect and will fail soon, not to mention adding additional noise to my computer. I have to decide whether to return it or not by this weekend.
